I started the podcast here on my site as a way to share with others some of the great things going on in education in West Virginia. I didn’t expect the immediate results that I received. The number of downloads/listens has beaten my own expectations and for that I need to say thank you to everyone who has downloaded/listened. You have ignited a fire in me to continue this project as a means for others to share the great things they are doing.
There is one small problem I have though. I’m finding that a weekly podcast is adding more to my workload than I expected. I love my format of simply talking to with others. I love to let them take off and talk about the things that are important to them. For the most part, I’m just along for the ride in most of these so far.
That brings me to this announcement. I am going to have to scale back a bit and move to an every-other week model. This will make it easier for me to produce a product that is of the quality I expect. After next weeks episode (Episode 5 – William Smith) I will be moving to that new model. Expect new episodes every other week for the foreseeable future. I’m sorry if this disappoints anyone, but for my own sanity I need to make the shift.
Also, If anyone is looking to do an episode of the podcast to share something great that they are doing, please reach out to me and we will work to set things up as soon as possible.
